Last year I moved to Nashville and hooked up with Bob Wootton and The Tennessee Three.[/quote]

Hi Shawn, nice to meet you.

I saw Bob Wootton and the Tennessee Three when they played in Dublin last year, were you on that tour?

Great show, but badly promoted… I only heard about it as the gig started, got a text from someone in the crowd. Luckily the venue is just 500 metres from my home so I dashed around there 😉

Anyway, nice to make your acquaintance.

maybe it’s an action problem on your bass?
You should try fixing that before changing strings.

The colour is ‘Porsche Green’ apparently… The bass was painted in flames by a drummer friend of mine who once had a vague notion about getting into custom basses… he did two of mine before deciding it was too much like hard work…

He also re-inforced the body with wooden dowels, steel pins and tons of filler… it destroyed the acoustic tone, but now it will support the weight of two grown men, which can be just as important in a rockabilly band 😉

Yes geoff I was a proud member of the Blue Moon Boys Irish Drinking Team, around that time I also did a short tour with Pep Torres.
