Hey all. Just throwing one of those new to the forum posts up.
Name is Mike and been playing upright off and on for about a year or so. Didnt get to play for the last 6 months or so and finally getting the time to practice again.
I have been playing guitar off and on for around 10 years and bass randomly during that time but never actually learnt much about it. Then a few years ago basically converted to bass primary and guitar as the secondary.
Love all types of music but for upright my main interests are rockabilly, psycho, and country. Mainly want to get some hank 3 type stuff going.
I have a huge range of music and currently play electric bass in a pretty crazy death metal band haha, we will actually be recording a record (yup vinyl) sometime soon so will spam people to check out then 😛
Anyways site looks great and hope to learn a lot from it, I already see a pile of rockabillybass.com guys on here who have helped me learn almost everything I know about upright so far.
